Advisory Council Members

The advisory board is comprised of individuals with an expertise in either real estate or high-level organizational
management. The advisory council has three functions. First, to advise MPE managing members of their investment properties regarding the long-term asset management strategies for refinancing, dispositioning,and or tax planning matters. Secondly, MPE advisors provide consulting services to new project development opportunities. Finally, the board serves as a body providing continuity and continuance to managing members.

Dave Diamond

Dave has over thirty-five years of commercial construction and real estate development experience. Under his guidance, his development company is focused on mixed used developments including multifamily, healthcare, and commercial assets. Dave’s primary roles include project financial analysis, acquisitions, and dispositions of assets. He has a B.S. Degree from Bradley University and a Certification in Finance and Real Estate Development from Harvard University’s Extension School. Dave serves on several community boards and is the founder and Board President of Youth Leadership Awards. Its mission is to provide youth with educational experiences in leadership. He and his wife Karen enjoy spending their weekend playing golf with their son Rame.

Don Daniels

Don spent over 40 years in management and executive roles in the health care industry. Focusing most of his energy and time in operations and finance, he provided leadership in both for profit and not for profit organizations including  hospitals, physician medical groups, Home Health agencies, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, HMO’s and other managed care entities.  He provided leadership for acquisition, disposition, and management of all assets of physician practices and other health care entities including real estate. Don earned both a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.  He was also a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the American College of Medical Practice xecutives.

Bruce Bosben

Bruce Bosben is Chairman of the Board of Apex Real Estate Holdings LLC and Apex Enterprises Inc, which he founded in 1986. Apex operates over 2000 residential units and 300,000 square feet of commercial space, all in the Madison area, utilizing 55 full-time employees. Bruce earned a BBA from UW-Madison in 1992. He has been involved in numerous real estate development projects, restoration projects, and repurposing projects, as well as serving on several land-use and urban planning committees. Bruce has served on the boards of several Madison-area nonprofits. He is an amateur expert on classical records and was a successful amateur golfer in his teens and twenties. Bruce and his wife Gwen live in Maple Bluff and have two sons, John and Stephen, who are both currently in college

Mike Lucas

Mike has an extensive career in executive leadership roles as president, chief executive officer and board member of both publicly traded and private companies.  For the past twenty-five years, he has led multiple technology and manufacturing businesses in the US and in Europe.  Most recently, Mike was the President and Chief Executive Officer for RegO Products, a leading international provider of flow control products based in North Carolina. Prior to RegO, Mike lead Powell Industries (NASDAQ: POWL), a manufacturer of custom-engineered equipment and systems for the distribution of electrical energy, as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has also served on several industry and non-profit boards including past Chairman of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and is currently Vice Chairman of the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation.  Mike is also active with volunteer work around homeless and food insecurity with such organizations as Feed My Starving Children, Porch Communities and Meet Me at the Bridge. Mike received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University and later earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.  Mike has three sons and lives with his wife, Carol, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Tom Walsh

Tom recently completed a career in commercial banking that spanned more than forty years, concluding as President and CEO of Northwest Bank of Rockford, Illinois. His experience included managing several banking enterprises, with a focus on commercial lending, including working with a number of Fortune 500 companies, as well as private, family-owned businesses. He also financed numerous commercial real estate projects, including industrial, retail, office, and multi-family properties, with a variety of capital structures, including the use of PACE financing. Tom remains active in the Rockford community, currently serving as Treasurer of the Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Authority and as a Board member and past Chair of Swedish American Health System. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant, with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his wife Karen have three grown sons and enjoy golf, biking, and travel.

Theran Welsh

Theran Welsh has been employed as a CPA since 1984 providing advisory services to his clients. His focus was consulting, helping companies identify annual initiatives to grow their shareholder value, as well, as position them to transition both internally and to outside parties.  A majority of his clientele was in the distribution, construction, and real estate industries. He recently retired as a shareholder of the SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C. on May 31, 2023.

Theran lives in Madison with his wife Julie and their 3 college-age children;  Jackson, Taylor, and Lauren .
